What is my first step?
To start the process of purchasing a stone surface, we recommend scheduling an appointment with one of our expert design consultants at our Clearwater showroom. We also ask that you bring or email a sketch of your layout with dimensions. This can be a rough drawing – just something that gives us an idea of what your project entails. How much will it cost?
Each project is custom, therefore the cost of stone surface manufacturing and installation varies greatly from client to client. However, there are three main factors that contribute to the final price:
The size of your project.
The stone material was selected.
How much of the material is needed.
Also, keep in mind that other elements also affect the total cost of your project. These include sink styles, faucets, fixture cutouts, edge profiles, etc.
Where can I view & select stone material?
At EGTMI, we partner with major stone suppliers in Tampa Bay and the surrounding area. Give us a call for a list of current suppliers we work with. You can also schedule an appointment to select stone slabs with one of our knowledgeable associates. Or, you are welcome to contact any of our suppliers directly to visit their warehouse and hand-select slabs yourself.
What should I expect on the template day?
On the day we template, a stone professional will come onsite to complete the necessary measurements needed to construct a wood frame template to ensure no detail in your project is left unchecked. Please prepare for our team member’s arrival by clearing the area that is being templated ahead of time.
Who will take care of plumbing and electrical?
We are not responsible for any plumbing and/or electrical connections in your project area. Please schedule your plumber and/or electrician to come at least 24 hours before and after the installation date to disconnect and reconnect any connections that are impacted.
What should I expect on the installation day?
Congratulations on your new stone surface! On the day of installation, our expert team will carefully position and secure your stone slab, ensuring final details are completed including matching any patterns, minimizing seams, and adding cutouts for electrical or plumbing fixtures. Please help us stay safe by securing a clear walking path from the most accessible entryway into the work area (kitchen, bathroom, etc.). We also ask that you please remove any items from your countertops, cabinets, and around the area of the project installation.
